Not the same thing, PC hardware comes out like every 4 to 5 months it seems (at least it seems graphic cards do) where as cpu seem to have a longer life span, and now that the PC market is slowing down we may not see a new processor from intel or AMD for a bit (this is all just speculation on my part.)

I don't know I think its a tie between them and mega block, both are pretty horrible. But I heard at least with the Kro-O you get the whole set, where as mega blocks has a horrible history of sets missing pieces or even having the wrong pieces in their sets.
